Stand 25 – A coeur battant – Village des Sciences – Sorbonne Université
The Umrs 1166-ICAN, research unit on cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, will participate in 2021, and for the 5th time in a row, in the Fête de la Science, entitled this year “The Emotions of Science”. This participation is again part of the Village des Sciences of Sorbonne University, on the Pierre and Marie Curie campus (what was formerly called “Jussieu”), at stall 25 “A Coeur Battant”.
Schedule
Friday October 8th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, for pupils only, on appointment (full)
Saturday October 9th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Sunday October 10th from 12:00 am to 4:00 pm

After a white year, the NSFA is organizing this year an e-congress on 23 and 24 June 2021. This conference will take the form of a remote conference with conferences only in the afternoon and presentations poster all day. The conference will be free but will require a registration for which you will receive information and the program in the spring. You can access the conference platform and registration site via this link.
Topics will include endothelium, pediatric hypercholesterolemia and lipid-inflammation.
We will have the pleasure of listening to the lectures of the foreign speakers:

Scientific summary
Jean-Sébastien Silvestre, PhD: senior research director at the French National Health and Medical Research Institute (Inserm). His work focus on the identification of molecular and cellular mechanisms regulating key events in post-ischemic tissue remodelling with potent revascularization and regenerative therapeutic promise. Since 1995, he is a co-author of 95 original research papers and over 40 reviews or book chapters.
